Courtney Bryant, Regional Director of Operations
Courtney serves as Regional Director of Operations. Her focus is on driving the Advantage Philosophy of “Clinical Drives the Operations” forward through strong customer relationships, structured support systems for area and facility based teams, and ongoing process improvement. Courtney has worked with Advantage for five years and has held facility, area and regional roles, building a strong foundation of transitional leadership that help spearhead new contracts into successful partnerships, as well as streamline process flows across all sites of service to allow for our interdisciplinary teams to focus on delivering clinical excellence at all times. Courtney of graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Scranton.
Larry Weaver, Regional Manager of Clinical Operations
Larry Weaver is a physical therapist assistant and Regional Manager of Clinical Operations for AdvantageCare. Larry provides onsite support and
training for clinicians and managers, facilitates new startups and ensures that effective clinical programming drives our operations across the company. Larry collaborates with administrators, RNACs and clinical teams on subjects such as patient advocacy, CMI optimization from an interdisciplinary approach, and quality measure-based clinical programming.
Mitzi Kweder, Director of Quality and Standards
Mitzi is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has been practicing for over 20 years. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in her native state of New York.
Mitzi has experience ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics but has a passion for quality and compliance stemming from her extensive tenure in the skilled nursing setting.
In her position as the Director of Quality and Standards, she completes clinical and operations standards audits in order to maintain and improve the quality of operational functions, clinical services and clinical products.
Mitzi also plays an active role in the appeals process, remediates systematic issues that conflict with our core principles and is a member of the Policy Committee.
She helps foster and protect the company, the employees, the customer and most importantly, the patientswe serve.
Mitzi’s role is vital to the commitment AdvantageCare Rehab has to adhering to the laws and regulations of several bodies governing healthcare today.
Mitzi resides in the Pittsburgh area with her husband Jeff and her two children Jack and Macy. She enjoys running, reading and spending time watching both her kids play soccer.
Michael Yeager, Western PA Area Director
Michael graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in communication science and disorders. Michael received his Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University. Michael is passionate about long-term care advocacy, promoting patient’s best ability to function and achieving superior outcomes. Michael’s focus is on promoting clinical success through functional treatment approaches, patient specific care and supporting the rehabilitation teams through on-site clinical visits, ensuring partnership with nursing and administration to provide efficient, quality care.
Barbra Kliker, Eastern PA, Area Director 
Barb graduated from the University of Scranton with a masters in physical therapy. After several years of practice, she pursued a doctorate of physical therapy through Temple University. Finding her niche with the geriatric population, Barb also worked toward and obtained a Geriatric Clinical Specialty.
Barb has over 15 years experience in the long-term care and continuing care retirement communities (CCRC). At all levels of her career, Barb has been dedicated to providing and supporting the highest level of therapy in order to help people live at their best level of independence and quality of life. Barb promotes successful resident outcomes through supporting teams with regular on-site clinical visits, focus on functional patient specific treatment, and partnership with facility nursing and administration.
Jessica Monocello, Clinical Data Analyst
Jessica graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree. Jessica has thirteen years of skilled nursing experience, serving as a strong patient advocate and exhibiting a clinically focused belief. Jessica manages and analyzes the therapy performance and clinical outcomes in the post-acute care environment for all Medicare/Managed Care insurances and alternative payment models, in order to drive strong quality care. Jessica’s leadership promotes the “clinical drives the business” philosophy culture, fosters the up and downstream partnerships during transitions, and supports quality, high-performing care delivery.
Paula Skovenski, RAC-CT Nurse Consultant/CMI Specialist
Paula brings to Advantage Care Rehabilitation her 22 years of experience in the acute care and long-term care rehabilitation settings as a CMI Specialist and Medicare Reimbursement Specialist. She has been responsible for maintaining the CMI in a 187 bed facility, problem solving, auditing MDS’s, staying current with regulatory compliance, training staff, Medicare reimbursement and Quality Measures. She promotes an interdisciplinary team approach and partnership between nursing and therapy to manage CMI to meet both the clinical needs of the residents and the fiscal goals of the facility.
