Colleen Balsano, PA, SLP-CCC - Vice President of Operations
Colleen graduated from Marshall University magna cum laude with a Masters of Arts Degree in Speech Language Pathology. During her years with Advantage, the company has experienced significant growth. Colleen has developed her management and therapy teams accordingly, with the goal of exceeding customer expectations while ensuring clinical excellence for the residents we serve. Colleen has worked diligently to promote communication, collaboration, and leadership throughout AdvantageCare, and has rolled out structured programs to promote the internal growth of clinical and management personnel leading to clinical and financial excellence throughout the company. Colleen has over 25 years in the long-term care industry/CCRC management. She graduated from Marshall University magna cum laude with a Masters of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Dave Lishinsky, PT, ATC - Vice President of Clinical Compliance
Dave graduated cum laude from University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. He has 25 years in the healthcare industry with vast experience in a variety of settings. Dave is responsible for the development, implementation, and auditing of our clinical programs while maintaining regulatory compliance with billing, documentation, and treatment to ensure operational success.  In addition to being a modality specialist, Dave provides frequent hands on clinical training to facility rehab teams, taking the AdvantageCare core belief of patient advocacy to the next level. He has presented numerous post-graduate education CEU courses related to long term care, including topics on Disequilibrium, Physical Agent Modalities, Documentation, Regulatory Compliance, The Shoulder, Health and Wellness for the Older Adult, and Case Mix Index.  Dave is a member of the APTA, PPTA, and Geriatric Section of the APTA.
Colleen Balsano
Kathy Kemmerer, LPNAC, RAC-CT 3.0, CPRA - CMI Specialist
Kathy brings vast experience in the long term care setting of 36 years to AdvantageCare Rehab as a CMI and Medicare Reimbursement Specialist.  She is a Certified Resident Assessment Coordinator and has been responsible for managing CMI both county and private facilities, problem solving and auditing MDS’s, staying current with regulatory compliance and training staff, Medicare reimbursement, and Quality Measures.  With a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Kathy has been involved with software development and computer programming specific for nursing staff in a LTC setting, using both her own programs and PCC. As a nurse, Kathy promotes the interdisciplinary team approach and partnership between nursing and therapy to manage CMI to meet both the clinical needs of the residents and the fiscal goals of the facility. She has been developing and managing care plans since 1985. Through the MDS, CAA, and care plan process, along with a strong mathematical background and closely working with therapy management, she has taken the CMI to a predictable level in both county (where predictable level is key to pay for performance) and private (where predictability is essential to meet budget goals) to a level of certainty in an unpredictable process.

Jessica Monocello, MOTR/L - Clinical Director and Data Analyst
Jessica graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. She is a member of the POTA.  Jessica has 10 years of skilled nursing experience, serving as a strong patient advocate and exhibiting a clinically focused belief. She works closely with the VP of Clinical Compliance in development and implementation of strong, person-centered clinical programs that target individual facility needs as well as upholding regulatory compliance for the company. Jessica’s leadership ensures the delivery of the “clinical drives the business” philosophy in providing quality, individualized treatment approaches, with on-site education and training, enabling advancement and stability of operational success.

Courtney Bryant, MS, OTR/L - Eastern PA Area Director
Courtney's focus is on developing strong clinical programs that drive forward operational success, through partnering rehab with nursing and administration, as well as growing the Eastern PA territory.  She serves as a support for therapy and facility-based staff by providing on-site mentor-ship and education, fostering program development, completing remote auditing of documentation and compliance, and assisting with marketing of rehab efficacy in each building. Her role is the embodiment of “Clinical Drives the Operations.” Courtney graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Scranton.

Sam Zinn, PT, DPT - Western PA Area Director
Sam graduated Summa Cum Laude, Laut Honors, with a B.S. in Chemistry from Wheeling Jesuit University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. Sam has spent over 13 years in the healthcare industry treating patients of all ages, managing physical therapy centers, and as a Regional Vice President of Operations with a multiple state territory for the past 7 years. He has treated patients of all ages, ability levels, and conditions with a strong emphasis on functional recovery and manual therapy. Sam has extensive field operations management experience including global operations responsibilities from new development, budgeting, and P&L responsibilities to program development and mentoring young therapists and leaders. Sam has consistently developed and lead teams in providing excellence in patient care, relationship building, community outreach programs, patient satisfaction, compliance, coding, hands on training, and delivering a culture of clinical care driving the business. Sam is a member of the APTA, PPTA, and the Orthopedic Section of the APTA.
