About Us
Our Simple Mission: To Get You Better
The consultants, practitioners, and health care providers at Advantage work together to achieve one mission: to help people get healthier and achieve independence to improve their outlook and quality of life.
Whether you are a facility administrator seeking to improve patient outcomes, a family member looking for the right home health care solution for your loved one, or a medical administrator looking for highly qualified and experienced therapists or nurses to fill staffing gaps, the Advantage team can help.
Advantage offers better services, better quality, and better results than other similar companies in the Pennsylvania area. That's why we're the ones repeatedly selected to help people heal at home and in residential facilities.
Feel the Advantage
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation, Advantage Home Health Services, and Care Coordination Management comprise the Advantage group of companies, which together deliver a wide range of contract health care, nursing, therapy, and social services to patients in their homes or outpatient settings.
We combine deep experience and high-quality care with innovative technologies to strengthen and improve the health and capabilities of patients and care facilities alike.
The Advantage companies are locally owned and operated, giving us the flexibility to customize our services to meet the needs of our patients and facilities and to immediately respond to changing needs and circumstances.
Our companies provide a consistent continuum of care, allowing Advantage therapists to consult with Advantage in-home health professionals to ensure a smooth transition for patients, easing their anxiety and delivering improved outcomes.
Our Origin Story
Founder and Advantage CEO, Amy Hancock, witnessed how her grandparents, as they aged, required specific types of nursing and therapy assistance. And yet there seemed to be a health care gap for patients transitioning from a hospital or acute care setting to a skilled nursing or assisted living facility.
Amy believed there was a better way to deliver contract therapy services to the post-acute-care population. So, in 2003, Amy founded AdvantageCare Rehabilitation. Her desire to provide her grandparents the best, most convenient care possible inspired the Advantage business plan.
In 2006, she founded Advantage Home Health Services to extend the care her company could provide to nursing and therapy delivered in the comfort of a patient’s home utilizing a patient-centered transitional care model.
Care Coordination Management (CCM) seemed an inevitable expansion in 2008, providing strategic management consulting for skilled nursing facilities. CCM helps staff at these facilities adopt measures that can improve patient outcomes as well as the facility’s financial performance.
Amy, it seems, was on to something when she noticed a need and sought to fill it. In just 16 years, the Advantage group went from having a single employee – Amy Hancock – to over 600 employees in 2021. Amy herself has been recognized as one of PA Business Central’s "Women Making a Difference," and one of "50 Women to Follow in Women-Owned Businesses."
